Rewilding Cycles Pt 2: Tending Irregular + Painful Cycles | September 21, 2025
A Somatic Approach to PCOS, Endometriosis, PMDD & Hormonal Birth Control
In this continuation of our cycle-centered series, we’ll deepen into the lived experience of painful and irregular menstrual cycles. With a somatic and trauma- sensitive lens, we’ll explore the body’s wisdom beneath symptoms and diagnoses, and gently invite connection to the stories our cycles are holding.
We’ll cover:
How to understand disrupted rhythms through a nervous system and endocrine perspective
PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and its impact on rhythm, metabolism, and identity
Endometriosis and its relationship to inflammation, trauma, and the body’s protective intelligence
PMDD as a cyclical sensitivity, not a pathology—and how to support clients in resourcing + regulating through it
The effects of hormonal birth control, and how to guide clients in staying connected to their bodies whether on or off it
Together, we’ll engage in somatic and mindfulness practices, guided reflection, and inquiry into how we hold space for cycle-related pain—both physical and emotional—in a culture that often pathologizes it.
This workshop is for you if:
You attended Rewilding Cycles and want to deepen your understanding of the menstrual cycle
You’ve been diagnosed with or are navigating symptoms of PCOS, endo, PMDD, or cycle disruption
You’re seeking a non-pathologizing, body-honoring space to make sense of your experience
You supporting clients with painful, irregular, or hormonally impacted cycles
You are curious about how to incorporate menstrual cycle awareness into your work
You want to expand your somatic toolkit to better meet the cyclical body
You are interested in the intersection of hormones, trauma, and somatics
If you do not have the resources to donate to this workshop, but want to attend, please send me an email at wholisticrewilding@gmail.com
